 The One Hairdressing is a little gem, a centrally located contemporary salon in London that offers the latest treatments and colour techniques for your hair for a very reasonable price. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by your stylist who will look after you while at the salon, tailoring the experience individually to you. My experience at The One Hairdressing was a delight from beginning to end, as a salon it prides itself on giving the customer what they want; "not everyone wants a crazy asymetrical haircut" says owner Andrea who only employs 5 top senior stylists to give the traditional, classic styles that his clientele ask for. I was asked what I would like and the trim I had opted in for was given the go ahead by Andrea who also suggested a toner to help bring a brighter colour to my hair. I was apprehensive about a colour being put on my hair however it was explained that a toner would last a few washes and just add shine and tone to my hair and so I agreed. Andrea washed my hair and applied the toner which was left on my hair for a few minutes while a cup of tea was brought to me. I was then whisked back to my chair while Andrea trimmed my hair, constantly checking it and not cutting off too much - previous salon experiences have left me shorter in the hair department than I wished! I was given a manicure by one of the beauticians while my hair was blow-dried into loose curls giving it the volume I crave without using a multitude of products and hairsprays! The manicure was a treat, the beautician very capable and careful, a large choice of colours were given, again I was asked what shape I would like my nails - everything is tailored to suit you and you really feel care and attentions is being taken over you. Once my blow dry and manicure were finished I was genuinely delighted with the result and my hair was extra shiny from the toner treatment. My hair had just been trimmed as I had asked and given extra shine and volume I crave, everything done to my hair was as I had wanted and this is why The One Hairdressing has many returning customers.In my short trip to the salon it is clear they are busy but every client is given the time to do a thorough job. Situated just off Pall Mall in the heart of London The One Hairdressing is a stop off point for many, whether it is a quick blow dry or short back & sides between meetings or a full head of highlights, extensions or smoothing therapy. The selling point for me with The One Hairdressing is not only the convenient location and very good price but the attention to detail and time given to you, unlike many large salons where you end up feeling like you are being pushed from pillar to post the same stylist will stick with you from the moment you walk in the door they will wash & treat your hair, colour and cut your hair and at each stage listening to what you would like.
