When you think of football you may think of a bunch of lads kicking round a ball shouting at each other, think again. Brazilian born Danubia Sousa is showing us that women can be just as good as men on the pitch. at only 7 she started playing football and has continued, now at 23 and living in London she is here to show us how combining skill, speed and passion into a Brazilian mix is always dangerous but she has also added an up and coming modeling carrier into that amazing mix, so be prepared to be blown away by the brazilian super star.FF. So you started when you were 7 that's very young, what made you want to start playing. Yes very young , but in Brazil we all play in the street with the neighbours all the time and all ages. FF. When you started playing football what did other boys think and what do they think now. They though it was great , its normal in Brazil. and I find in England now they real like it as well, everyone loves football. FF. Were you always aloud to play on the male teams, and when did you find other women who were as good as you. Yes always when it wasn't for a regional cup , just on the streets or friendly games , trust me football is a kind of religion for men back in Brazil as it is here. FF. Brazilian footballers seem to have more flair and passion, this is reflected in there skills. Would you say you are effected in the same way as you are Brazilian. Do you have that instinct for skills. That's the word i describe footballers in Brazil passionate , off course its reflected in skills which all Brazilians have. I also like to think I have the Brazilian passion and skill. FF. What would you say was your best match that you have played in. and your best memory so far in your football life. The best one was two years a go at Hyde park , when I saw 11 men playing and I asked if I could play ... they laugh at me and said yes anyway. i think they had a shock when I ran circles around them and scored 4 goals. I like the shock factor, being better than most men at there favourite sport can be a very powerful thing. FF. How often do you practice I used to practice every week and when i was young every day , now around once every 2 weeks ,because of my modeling career, but I try to practice skills as much as i can. FF. How do you practice, do you have an special techniques, skill practice etc. I don't have special techniques , I play in the attack position so I just go for it with my skills in a game. but the brazilian skills do need to be practised, and I enjoy keeping my skills up to scratch. FF. What team are you playing for at the moment. not playing in a team at moment as I don't have time, I'm trying to do well in the modeling world, but i hope that my football skills can be used in some way through modeling or TV and film. FF. Who is your main inspiration, and whose your favourite team and player and why. My favourite team its Brazil and Corinthians. player i will say Zico & Kaka because they both have god like skills, and they use them in all there games. They are true artists of the game. FF. Where do you hope to be with your football carrier in the future. What are your goals (pun) I want to keep in good shape, and play as much as i can. i think the main thing with any sport is that you love doing it. and i love football. maybe i could use my skills and modeling in films or on TV. Promoting fitness and health would be great. FF. If people would like to find out more about you what's the best way to contact you. Just search my name Danubia Sousa , I'm everywhere , facebook , myspace, sports agency and soon launching www.danubiasousa.com FF. What's the best way to find and female team for people to start practising, and meet other women who play. There is always womens teams in all areas now. its a great way of keeping fit and healthy and making new friends, don't worry if your not that good to start with as there is always others that are starting as well, the main thing is that your there. you will love it. God bless u all , thanks
