Ben Cooke & Herbal Essences
Written by Administrator    Print E-mail
Once again Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker of PPQ have created a stunning AW collection. Hosted at the BFC tents at Somerset House, Pixie Lott and Peaches Geldof watched on as an array of elegant black & gold cocktail dresses, play suits and voluminous overcoats trimmed with fur came down the runway.

The models were sporting a “yesterday / today doo” created by Ben Cooke, ambassador for Herbal Essences using the new Beautiful Ends Collection especially formulated for mid to long locks.  Ben and Amy worked closely together to create the perfect style to complete the silhouette and look of the collection. The tousled hair-style works together with the heavy smoky eyes to form a slightly gothic ‘slept in look’ rock chick feel. The style was designed with the help of new Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split Ends Protection Cream.

How the look was created:
“This look runway look can be created at home” says Ben, “Firstly always start with the best base. The models hair was washed and conditioned in Beautiful Ends shampoo and conditioner as it helps to control frizz and protect against split ends – which can happen when you style your hair a lot.  To create the volume and width of this style hair was ‘under crimped’ the roots at the nape of the neck and just above the ears at the side. Next hair was parted in the middle and vertical sections about 3” wide were separated. Each section was placed in a large tong on the top of the head and wrapped away from the face around the tong. To create the erratic texture, alternate using large and medium sized tongs. Once the whole head has been tonged very gently brush through and while the make up was being done, hair was placed in a loose top knot. This was to maintain the root lift and help blend through the different textures and waves. Then when ready, the top knot was taken out, and the models hair was tipped upside down and given a good shake out and flicked back.

Lastly the finishing touch was to scrunch through new Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Cream to tame down any unruly ends and highlight the texture.

New Beautiful Ends Collection consists of Shampoo, & Conditioner (from £1.99rrp*), Split End Protection Cream and Intensive Mask (both £3.99rrp*)

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
