My most recent celebrity collaboration has been with the beautiful Sadie Frost – actress, DJ and fashion designer. Sadie has recently been announced as one of the collaborators behind the hot new Camden based fashion label Louie Louie. On Wednesday 12th of May it opened its doors to a plethora of London’s finest as the creators hosted one kick ass launch party. On the launch night, Sadie welcomed me into her home, ready to be groomed to perfection. She made it clear that she wanted “a no makeup make up look.” During conversation, she told me that her idea of a beautiful woman would be “a Russian ballerina”, natural and simple. Within a few minutes of our meeting each other, I could tell that Sadie was of a calm and relaxed nature. I could tell that her makeup showed her laid back attitude. Taking this into consideration I decided to create a contrast between her makeup and her charcoal coloured structured dress. I opted for natural and golden. She had such beautiful skin and expressive eyes; I wanted her to look luminous and iridescent. My aim was to make her glow. Key products used to create the Sadie look were: Eyes: Trish McEvoy Eye Base was used. It’s a fantastic product that really makes eye shadow last all day long. It was perfect for this occasion as it gives a perfect matt finish, as Sadie wanted. Bobbi Brown sheer finish pressed powder was then applied to set the colour. Next I used Guerlain Terracotta Light Bronzante (02 brunette shale) to add colour to Sadie’s beautiful aqua coloured eyes. This pallet is multi coloured, so I mixed the beige and coral shades and blended into the eye crease. This technique is what made her eyes "pop"! Sadie was adamant that false lashes were not needed. So in order to provide the volume needed, I first curled the lashes with Shu Uemura curlers and then used Estee Lauder Sumptuous Waterproof mascara. Face: Remembering that the overall look we were aiming to achieve was light and fresh, I kept the use of foundation to a minimum. By mixing Chanel Vitalumiere No. 32 with Dior Nude Glow Skin Enhancer 001 I ensured that she really glowed. Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque and By Terry Touch Veloutee No. 2 were used to correct the slight under eye shadow. Finally, to finish, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze was applied to the cheekbones. Lips: Sadie used her own lipstick on the night – a very natural nude colour. To give her lips a little more definition I outlined them with first Benefit Cupid's Bow light reflecting pencil and then with Bobbi brown Lip Liner in Petal. The whole Sadie Frost make over took no more than 30 minutes. Simple yes, but the finished looked had the desired effect. No look I create is uniform. It is for this reason that I have created a range of bespoke beauty services to ensure every person who leaves my studio feels unique. Whizzing around the globe waving the magic of the Lina Cameron mascara wand is no mean feat. Making all of those ladies who lunch; brides to be; socialites and fashionistas beautiful definitely keeps me on my toes! But would I have it any other way? NEVER!
